The Don Chipp Foundation is an independent research body affiliated with the Australian Democrats. Don Chipp, as the founder of the Australian Democrats, vowed to "keep the bastards honest". 2008 Grants Presentation Day
This year's Grants Presentation Day will be held on Tuesday 7 October 2008 at Level 5 of Building 10, 235 Jones Street Ultimo, UTS, Sydney. Registration and welcome is from 3.45pm-4pm, followed by presentations to the six recipients who will speak about their projects. A light supper is provided. This is a free community event. 2008 Janine Haines Lecture
On Thursday 31st July Professor Peter Singer will deliver the 2008 Janine Haines Lecture on the topic Animal Welfare and Environmental Ethics: Parallels and Divergences. With other speakers including Andrew Bartlett (Australian Democrats), Glenys Oogjes (Animals Australia) environmental campaigners Corey Watts and Tim Low, this key event on the annual calendar will be held this year at the University of Melbourne.
